Chana Pilates is a fully equipped boutique studio for women located in the beautiful hills of Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel. All instruction is in the internationally renowned STOTT PILATES™ method.    

At the studio,  you will find individuals of all ages who are either rehabilitating an injury, improving their sport, or just working on functional fitness in a quality way.  Classes are small and intimate and focus is placed on giving each client the appropriate attention to their individual needs.

The studio has a peaceful, yet fun and friendly atmosphere in which to practice Essential, Intermediate, and Advanced exercises in classical Matwork and on authentic Pilates equipment.  You can choose from group, duet, or private sessions.

The Equipment

All equipment at Chana Pilates is designed and manufactured by STOTT PILATES. The equipment is extremely versatile and engineered for maximum safety and effectiveness. 

By using springs for resistance, the equipment provides gradual resistance as your muscles contract, which ensures the muscles are being worked properly.  There is a greater resistance at the muscle's strongest point of contraction and less resistance on the initiation and completion of the contraction so there is less stress on tendons and ligaments compared to traditional weight machines.

 The design of these machines also enables three dimensional movement and conditioning.  Your muscles and bones will be challenged from all different directions – up, down, back, front and side.  This is an excellent way to improve functional strength and increase bone density.

Reformer
The Reformer is the most popular Pilates apparatus.  It can best be described as a sliding carriage attached to springs and pulleys enabling a large repertoire of exercises and modifications. Exercises can be done in any position – supine, prone, side-lying, seated, kneeling and standing.  The moving base will challenge your stability, enhancing your core strength, peripheral extremity conditioning, joint stability, flexibility, balance and coordination. The springs will offer added resistance and support to your workout.

V2 Max Plus™ Reformer
This one of a kind unit multi-tasks as a raised mat, Reformer, Cadillac and multi-lunar, biomechanics training tool.  With an increased range of motion, this is a premier tool for Pilates based sport-specific, rehab and cross training movement.  This unit's innovative vertical frame pulley system and exclusive retractable rope system replicates the free, multi-dimensional movements of daily life.

Stability Chair™

This multi-functional Split-Pedal Stability Chair is ideal for those who need to stay in a seated or upright position.  Helps to rebalance muscles and provides a full-body workout.  Also facilitates high-performance exercises for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, as well as rehab clients.  Can be adjusted to train almost all muscles groups helping the exerciser to achieve upper and lower body strength and conditioning, enhance stability and improve body control.  The smaller base of support and dual pedals allow for bilateral, unilateral and reciprocal movements to increase intensity and overall balance.

Spine Corrector and Arc Barrels
Used to perform exercises which lengthen and strengthen the torso, shoulders, back and legs. Provides optimal comfort and proprioceptive feedback.

Pilates Edge™
Adds variety to any workout.  The dense foam triangle's increasing height helps add strength and stability to the torso, arms and legs.  The Edge can be used alone or in combination with Toning Balls or tubing for increased intensity and support.

The Fitness Circle® resistance rings, Flex-Band® and Toning Balls™ are all great tools to add resistance to any workout and help maintain proper alignment and increase proprioceptive awareness.

TRX Supspension Trainer

Born in the Navy SEALs, the TRX Suspension Trainer leverages gravity against the user's body weight. When  combined with the Pilates Principle of stability, this is a great tool to improve strength, balance, mobility and core stability.

STOTT PILATES™ fully certified instructor level 1 and 2 in Matwork; Reformer; Cadillac, Chair, Barrels; Injuries and Special Populations.

Chana has been teaching Pilates for 15 years and has over 30 years experience in the fitness field and is constantly upgrading her education, especially in the field of rehab and is a Stott Pilates Post Rehab Conditioning Specialist.
